Employees are entitled to various types of leave, including holiday leave, sick leave, maternity leave, parental leave, and special leaves. Special leaves may cover situations such as the death of a family member, marriage, blood donation, and other personal events as defined by the applicable policies or labor agreements.

Labor Leasing
The placement of contingent or temporary workers at third party sites requires a labor leasing license.
Minimum Wage Requirements
The minimum wage in Poland is established by law, with any increases announced annually and taking effect from January 1st. As of July 1, 2024, the minimum wage is PLN 4,300.
Medical Benefits
The employer pays for 33 days of sickness of the employee in a calendar year. For that time, the employer pays in principle 80%, or up to 100% depending on reason for incapacity, of the employee’s remuneration. Any further period of sickness is financed from insurance by the Social Security Office.
Probationary Periods
For normal employment, the probation period can last up to 3 months. However, there is no probation period under labor leasing.
Termination Notice
Under regular employment the notice period varies between 2 weeks to 3 months depending on the lenght of service.
Under labour leasing, the parties may set the possibility for early termination. The minimum notice period is 3 days for contract concluded for a period of 2 weeks or 1 week for contracts concluded for a period exceeding 2 weeks.
Severance
If there is a need for termination contracts by the employer for reasons not related to the employees (e.g. restructuring), the employee is entitled to a severance payment in the amount of:
the monthly remuneration, if the employee was employed at the given employer less than 2 years;
2 times the monthly remuneration, if the employee was employed at the given employer from 2 years to 8 years; and
3 times the monthly remuneration, if the employee was employed at the given employer for over 8 years.
